Laena Fallon is Vice President for Communications at the Financial Services Forum.  She joined the Forum in August of 2012 after working on Capitol Hill since 2005.

Most recently, Laena served as Communications Director for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA).  In that position, Laena ran the Majority Leader’s press shop, influencing the messaging for the entire GOP majority.  She also provided strategic communications and policy advice for the Leader.  In her previous role as Press Secretary, Laena spearheaded the Majority Leader’s day-to-day press operation, maintaining strong relationships with national reporters, and guiding messaging on pro-growth economic policies and job creation. During her tenure in the Leader’s office, Laena provided strategic communications guidance on a host of issues including the debt limit, government funding debates, the JOBS Act, and other financial and economic policy matters.

Previously, Laena worked for U.S. Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH) as Communications Director and Press Secretary, having joined the Senator’s team during his 2004 campaign.  During her time in Gregg’s office, Laena ran the Senator’s communications operation and developed messaging on significant fiscal issues, including the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and Dodd-Frank.

A New Hampshire native, Laena has a deep-rooted interest in politics.  She graduated from Saint Anselm College in 2005 with a degree in Politics with a focus on public policy.
