WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rob Nichols, President and CEO of the Financial Services Forum, today released the following statement upon Senate confirmation of Jack Lew as Treasury Secretary of the United States:

“We congratulate Jack Lew in his confirmation to be the next Treasury Secretary of the United States.  Mr. Lew brings a wealth of government and economic experience to the post, and has a unique understanding of the important role the financial sector plays in our economy.  We look forward to working with him to provide for a safe and sound financial sector, and to ensure that our financial markets are globally competitive, innovative, and able to provide the necessary capital to fuel economic growth and job creation.”
